If you were to look over the last five years of your life, is it drastically different from where you are today? Does it seem like nothing really has changed? Does it seemed like everything has changed? For better or worse? Do you feel like you are on a plateau? Do you take time out to feed your mind with positive and healthy thoughts?

Easier to Find One When You Have One...

It's easier to find one when you already have one...

I've heard this expression used in connection with jobs. People say that it is easier to find a job when you already have one - which is true - but why is that true? Is it because you're not in a state of desperation. Is it because when you go hunting for a job, you don't necessarily need it (since you already have one) but it would be okay if you got it? Can employers since your desperation when you're completely jobless? Do they have the upper hand?

Recently, I've heard the same expression (It's easier to find one when you already have one) used concerning relationships in conjunction with this expression: Nobody wants someone that no one else wants.

Really? So is all hope lost for single people who are looking for suitable mates? Do men look at a women and NOT want them because, presumably, no one else wants her so why should he? Do men think that the woman has some flaw that other men loathed, and therefore she wouldn't be a suitable mate for him? Or is it true - that men want a woman that other men want.

You could conclude this in Reggie's case. In my new novel, Another Man's Treasure, his single, best friend Tiphani (pronounced Tiffany) is very much in love with him. He knows this, but he doesn't want to act on those feelings until he sees her with another man. An act of jealousy or an act of love? You be the judge.
