The Howard Sisters are Back and Feistier than Ever!
Although China’s life shattered into a million pieces when her husband of twenty years committed suicide, she continues to annoy Maya, criticizing and indulging in monumental arguments, and spewing her hateful venom. However, when ugly secrets are revealed, China and Maya begin to question their relationship and love for each other.
Free is madly in love with Sam, and is elated to accept his proposal of marriage, despite a devastating loss, and Jade is happily in love with Jon.
The sisters are still at each others’ throats, but will an unexpected trip to Montego Bay and a tragic accident change their lives, their love and their attitude toward each other?
Crossing Sisters is a highly entertaining page-turner from acclaimed author Jessica Tilles that explores the meaning of love and sisterhood through tragic life-changing events.

Xpress Yourself Publishing welcomes new author Toney Rowe into our literary family. Born a female, but living her life as a male was not an easy road for Toney. Read her fascinating story in her memoir, Trapped Inside A Female's Body.
Some of your favorite authors have returned and have truly written novels that will not disappoint! See them all under New Releases on this month's Newsletter.
Lastly, I am happy to announce that Cost of Our Affairs by Linda R. Herman and Loving Simone by Jessica Tilles was selected by Black Expressions Book Club and are now available in hardback! If you're not a member of Black Expressions Book Club, you can join up and get our books for only $0.50! Whomever heard of buying a hardback book for $0.50? I think it's fantabulous, and I couldn't resist and purchased both books for $1.00! I love a great buy, and I know you do, too. If you're a member of Black Expressions, you can get both books for $12.95 each—an excellent price for hardback, and cheaper than our prices for trade paperpback! :-)
That's it for now, but I'll leave you with words that were given to me at my 6th grade commencement by my 100-year-old aunt:

REVIEW: Another Man's Treasure

If the shoe is not on your foot....
It's easy to tell someone what you would do when you are not in their current situation.
Elise Thomas Edison never imagined she'd need advice on how to handle a cheating husband but the news of her husband's affair is only the beginning of her storm. Derek is also the father of his mistress' five year-old daughter, a child his wife knew nothing about. So, what is a wife to do when her perfect man reveals that he is only a fallen mortal? Is it possible for Elise to move past her envisioned fairytale of happily ever after and accept that her marriage is flawed?
Everyone seems to have a word of advice for Elise but unless you're a wife scorned and betrayed by the man you love, you can't tell an angry woman how to wear her shoes. You just have to be thankful her 'shoes' don't fit your 'feet.'
What's A Wife to Do? is Herman's third novel to date and the melodrama only gets better. Be sure to order your copy of this great novel today! The official release date is March 15, 2011 but you can pre-order your copy at Barnes & Nobles as well as Xpress Yourself Publishing, www.XpressYourselfPublishing.com.

What Chapter of Your Life Are You On?
Take Responsibility for your Actions and Results
If you were to look over the last five years of your life, is it drastically different from where you are today? Does it seem like nothing really has changed? Does it seemed like everything has changed? For better or worse? Do you feel like you are on a plateau? Do you take time out to feed your mind with positive and healthy thoughts?

Easier to Find One When You Have One...
I've heard this expression used in connection with jobs. People say that it is easier to find a job when you already have one - which is true - but why is that true? Is it because you're not in a state of desperation. Is it because when you go hunting for a job, you don't necessarily need it (since you already have one) but it would be okay if you got it? Can employers since your desperation when you're completely jobless? Do they have the upper hand?
Recently, I've heard the same expression (It's easier to find one when you already have one) used concerning relationships in conjunction with this expression: Nobody wants someone that no one else wants.
Really? So is all hope lost for single people who are looking for suitable mates? Do men look at a women and NOT want them because, presumably, no one else wants her so why should he? Do men think that the woman has some flaw that other men loathed, and therefore she wouldn't be a suitable mate for him? Or is it true - that men want a woman that other men want.
You could conclude this in Reggie's case. In my new novel, Another Man's Treasure, his single, best friend Tiphani (pronounced Tiffany) is very much in love with him. He knows this, but he doesn't want to act on those feelings until he sees her with another man. An act of jealousy or an act of love? You be the judge.
Another Man's Treasure is available for Pre-Order now at www.xpressyourselfpublishing.com for 20% off.

Have you ever been trapped?
In the late seventies, I found myself attracted to females.
In the late eighties, I changed my name to be more masculine.
It became a really dangerous journey, trying to hide the real me. Once rumors began to circulate that I was really a female, and someone threatened to kill me, I had to realize that it was time to find my true self.
Trapped Inside a Female's Body is not fiction. This is the true story of my life.

Introducing Another Man's Treasure
That's how the idea behind Another Man's Treasure, my new novel. In the story, Tiphani Water can openly admit to herself that she is in love with her best friend, Reggie Howard. The problem is, she doesn't have the guts to tell him how she really feels. So she remains his "best friend" while agonizingly watching other women date the man she loves...
There is a catch to all of this - Reggie has an idea how she feels about him, and uses her own emotions to control and manipulate her to his own advantage. He loves his friend and he selfishly wants her all to himself as a friend while he also has a girlfriend. He has the best of both worlds.
His world is suddenly turned upside down when Tiphani agrees to go on a blind date with Derrick Brooks. Derrick is a bit older, more mature and very well grounded. He and Tiphani hit it off, then suddenly, Reggie grows so jealous, he breaks up with his girlfriend to pursue Tiphani.
His actions has Tiphani thinking like Jennifer Lopez in her song, Ain't It Funny:
But it's not funny. Though Tiphani is dating a hot, handsome gentleman, she still has feelings for Reggie which makes her situation that much more difficult. She has a lifelong history with Reggie. They grew up together. Their mothers are best friends. They have history. But is their history enough to pull her away from Derrick?
Yeah, it's definitely not funny. It's a little sad. Reggie had Tiphani at his side for years. It wasn't until another man stepped into the picture that made him realize that he wanted her. And now, it just may be too late.
Another Man's Treasure will be released March 15, 2011 and is available for pre-order now. Click here to find out more.
